Mga Pinoy hindi na makaaalis patungong Jeju nang walang visa

Hindi na papayagan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang mga turistang Filipino na umalis ng bansa patungong Jeju, South Korea nang walang visa.

Ayon kay BI port operations division chief Grifton Medina kaugnay ito ng bagong travel ban policy na ipinatupad ng Korea bilang pag-iingat laban sa novel coronavirus.

Base sa bagong polisiya, sinususpinde ng Korea ang visa-free entry sa mga Filipino tourists patungong Jeju.

“We have already instructed our immigration officers not to allow the departure of any Filipino bound for Jeju unless the passenger was issued a visa by the Korean embassy,” ani Medina.

Ang bagong travel policy ay kasunod ng pagkasawi sa Pilipinas ng isang pasyenteng Chinese na may 2019-nCoV.

Pero ayon sa BI, sakop din naman ng suspensyon ng visa-free entry privileges sa Jeju ang iba pang dayuhan mula sa ibang mga bansa.
