Panukala para sa murang gamot at medical supplies inihain sa Kamara

Ipinanukala ni House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Joey Salceda ang pagkakaroon ng murang gamot, medical equipment at medical supplies para sa lahat.

Sa ilalim ng House Bill 6219 o Affordable Medicines, Medical Equipment and Supplies Act (AMMESA) na inihain ni Salceda, magtatakda ng ceiling price, gawing mura at abot-kaya para sa mga mahihirap ang mga gamot at medical supplies and equipment sa bansa.

Ayon kay Salceda, pro-poor at pro-PWD ang panukala dahil hindi lamang gamot kundi kasama na rin sa ceiling price ang mga medical masks, wheelchairs, prosthetics, syringes at iba pa sa itatakdang Maximum Drug Retail Price (MDRP).

Layunin din ng panukala ang tuluy-tuloy na pagpapatupad ng Universal Health Care Law at magamit ang bargaining power ng gobyerno para sa mas murang pangangailangang medikal.

Hinihikayat din ng panukala ang Philippine National Drug Formulary na mas gamitin ang generics na gamot lalo kung wala naman pinagkaiba sa epekto at sa presyo nito.

Oobligahin din ang mga kumpanya sa ibang bansa na babaan ang presyo ng kanilang mga gamot kung gusto ng mga ito na ibenta ito sa Pilipinas.
