Ospital na nakalaan para sa mga communicable diseases dapat likhain ng pamahalaan

Naniniwala si House Assistant Majority Leader Precious Hipolito-Castelo na kailangang magtayo ang pamahalaan ng mga ospital na nakatutok sa mga communicable diseases tulad ng 2019-novel coronavirus.

Ayon kay Hipolito-Castelo Napapanahon na magtatag ng isang pagamutan na tutugon sa mga nakakahawang sakit na mayroong high-tech medical facilities at equipment.

Inirekomenda pa ng kongresista na itayo ang ospital malayo sa mga residente para maiwasan ang outbreak.

Naniniwala si Hipolito-Castelo na kung magkakaroon ng medical facility para sa communicable diseases ay posibleng maiiwasan ang panic at magiging panatag ang publiko dahil may sapat na professional handling sa naturang health crisis.

Bagamat mayroon na aniyang Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) at San Lazaro Hospital ang bansa na may mahuhusay na researchers at doctors, hindi ito sapat dahil kulang naman ang mga ito sa resources.

Bukod dito, wala ring ospital na nakasentro lamang sa mga highly infectious ailments at nakakabahala din na hindi ligtas ang mga itinayong make-shift tents bilang isolation o quarantine para maiwasan ang kontaminasyon at pagkalat ng sakit.
