Pangulong Duterte nais na personal na salubungin ang mga Filipino mula China
Kung si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte lamang ang masusunod, personal niyang sasalubungin ang apatnapu’t dalawang Filipino mula China na darating sa bansa sa araw ng Sabado (February 8) sa Clark International Airport sa Pampanga.
Pero ayon kay Cabinet secretary Karlo Alexi Nograles, nag-uusap pa ngayon ang Presidential Security Group at Presidential Management Staff kung papayagan ang pangulo na pangasiwaan ang pagdating ng mga Filipino mula China kung saan nagsimula ang 2019 novel coronavirus.
“There was a discussion on whether or not. So again the safety of the President. He wants to be there. but there is still discussions. I am sure that is going to be a debate between the President and the PSG and the PMS. so wala pang final decision. the president wants to be there,” ayon kay Nograles.
Sa ngayon, sinabi ni Nograles na si Health secretary Francisco Duque pa lamang ang kumpirmadong sasalubong sa mga Filipino.
Tiniyak naman ni Nograles na naka-full gear si Duque para masiguro na ligtas ito.
Una-nang sinabi ni Foreign affairs undersecretary Ernesto Abella na apatnaput dalawang Filipino mula China ang uuwi na sa bansa.
