6 na social media posts tinututukan ng PNP dahil sa pagpapakalat ng pekeng balita tungkol sa nCoV

Mayroon nang iniimbestigahan ang Anti-Cybercrime Group ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na social media posts na nagtataglay ng maling impormasyon tungkol sa novel coronavirus.

Ayon kay PNP-ACG spokesperson Capt. Jeck Robin, anim na posts na naglalaman ng pekeng impormasyon tungkol sa nCoV ang tinututukan na nila ngayon.

Kasabay nito binalaan ni PNP Spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac ang publiko na maging maingat sa mga ibinabahagi sa social media.

Ayon kay Banac kasong paglabag sa PD 90 o declaring unlawful rumor-mongering and spreading false information ang maaring kaharapin ng mga nagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon.

Pwede rin silang makasuhan ng Unlawful Use of Means of Publication ang Unlawful Utterances sa ilalim ng Article 154 ng Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 6 ng Republic Act 10175 o Anti-Cybercrime Law.
