Papalitan ni Bacordo si Vice Admiral Robert Empedrad na aabot na sa kaniyang compulsory retirement age na 56.
Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang appointment paper ni Bacordo at inilabas ito ng Malakanayang ngayong Biyernes, Jannuary 31.
Inaasahan namang sa Lunes ay pangungunahan ng pangulo ang change of command ceremony sa headquarters ng Philippine Navy sa Roxas Boulevard sa Maynila.
Si Bacordo ay miyembro ng Philippine Military Academy “Hinirang” Class of 1987.
