Tapos ang konstruksyon ng apat na palapag na evacuation center sa Quezon City.
Ayon kay Ador Canlas, director ng Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH NCR), kumpleto ang evacuation ng mga pasilidad para sa komportableng pananatili ng mga bakwit.
Kabilang rito ang toilet at shower rooms, infirmary at pharmacy, laundry at drying area, centralized kitchen, stock room, breastfeeding room, roof deck, paging system room na mayroong security cameras, generator, garbage segregation facility, wheelchair ramp, elevator, fire alarm system, fire exit, at accommodation area na may 156 higaan at allotment ng isang kama kada pamilya.
Layon nito na makapagbigay ng agarang tulong sa mga residente ng lungsod sakaling magkaroon ng kalamidad.
Itinayo ang P58 million-evacuation center sa bahagi ng Barangay Greater Fairview.
“Alongside equipping each center with all needed facilities is ensuring that it will be gender-sensitive with the provision of separate toilet and shower rooms for men and women, and persons with disability (PWD) friendly through building ramps and elevators,” ayon kay DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
