23 katao, ‘under investigation’ sa posibleng nCoV infection – DOH

Muling kinumpirma ng Department of Health (DOH) na nananatiling 2019-novel coronavirus-free ang Pilipinas.

Sa isang press briefing, hanggang 12:00 ng tanghali, apat na ‘persons under investigation’ ang nakalabas na ng ospital.

Dahil dito, sinabi ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III na mayroong 23 ‘persons under investigation’ na posibleng apektado ng nCoV infection.

Sa nasabing bilang, 17 rito ay mula sa Metro Manila; dalawa sa Central Visayas habang tig-isa naman sa Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Mimaropa, at Davao.

Hinihintay pa rin ng kagawaran ang confirmatory test results mula sa ipinadalang samples sa Australia ng anim na pasyente.

Ayon naman kay DOH spokesman Eric Domingo, inaasahang darating ang confirmatory test results mula sa Australia sa Huwebes (January 30) o Biyernes ng umaga (January 31).

Samantala, nasawi ang isang Chinese national na ‘person under investigation’ sa San Lazaro Hospital.

Paliwanag ni Dr. Edmundo Lopez, director ng San Lazaro Hospital, maraming ibang karamdaman ang dayuhan kung kayat hindi pa kumpirmado kung nCoV ang dahilan ng pagkasawi nito.

Muli namang inabisuhan ng DOH ang publiko na manatiling kalmada ngunit maging alerto sa nasabing virus.
