Nasabat na food items mula China, nagpositibo sa ASF – BOC

Nagpositibo sa African Swine Fever (ASF) ang mga nasabat na food items mula sa Guangzhou, China ayon sa Bureau of Customs (BOC).

Sa inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ng BOC na lumabas sa pagsusuri ng Veterinary Quarantine Services na positibo sa ASF ang kargamento.

Dumating sa Manila International Container Port ang kargamento na naglalaman ng pork dumplings, chicken balls at roast chicken wings noong December 11, 2019.

Ayon sa ahensya, naka-consign ang kargamento sa Dynamic M. International Trading Inc.

Nilabag nito ang Section 1400, 1113 at 117 ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act, Republic Act 3720 o Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act at Republic Act 10845 o Anti-Agricultural Smuggling Act of 2016.

Sinabi naman ni MICP District Collector Guillermo Pedro Francia IV na mananatili silang alerto para sa kaligtasan ng publiko mula sa mga mapanganib na pagkain.
