GDP ng bansa target itaas ng Kamara hanggang 8 percent

Nais ng Kamara na lumago pa ang Gross Domestic Product ng bansa kasunod ng 6.4% na pagtaas nito noong 4th quarter ng 2019.

Ayon kay House Committee on Ways and Means Chairman at Albay Rep. Joey Salceda, bilang isang economic policy lawmaker, nais niyang umabot sa 7 hanggang 8 percent ang GDP growth bago matapos ang 2020.

Kumpyansa ang mambabatas na dahil sa maagap na pag-apruba sa 2020 national budget, implementasyon ng sin tax law, at iba pang tax administration reforms ay mas madali nang makakamit ang 7% GDP growth sa anumang quarters ngayong taon.

Tiwala pa si Salceda na kapag naisabatas na rin ang Corporate Income Tax and Incentives Rationalization Act o CITIRA at iba pang tax reform bills gayundin ang pagpapaigting sa fiscal position ng bansa ay hindi malayo na makamit ang mas matatag na 2020 economy.

Naniniwala din ito na nananatili pa rin na fastest growing economy sa Asya ang Pilipinas kahit pa mas mababa ito sa 6 hanggang 7 percent target goal.
