Unang kaso ng coronavirus sa Singapore kinumpirma

Kinumpirma ng Ministry of Health ng Singapore ang unang naitalang kaso ng coronavirus sa kanilang bansa.

Isang lalaki na Chinese national na mula sa Wuhan City ang unang naitalang kaso ng bagong strain ng coronavirus.

Ayon sa Ministry of Health, ang lalaki na 66 taong gulang ay dumating sa Singapore kasama ang kanyang pamilya noong Lunes (January 20).

Stable naman ang kondisyon ng lalaki na kasalukuyang nasa isolation room ng Singapore General Hospital.

Samantala, isang 53 taong gulang na babaeng Chinese national mula Wuhan din ang binabantayan ng Ministry of Health dahil nagpositibo sa preliminary test sa novel coronavirus. Stable naman kondisyon ng ginang sa kasalukuyan at hinihintay pa ang resulta na confirmatory test sa pasyente.

Matatandaang 2002 hanggang 2003 isa ang bansang Singapore sa matinding naapektuhan ng outbreak ng SARS virus kung saan 33 ang nasawi at 238 ang naaapektuhan ng virus.
