54% ng mga pamilyang Filipino, sinabing sila ay mahirap – SWS

Nadagdagan ang bilang ng pamilyang Filipino na nagsabing sila ay mahirap, batay sa huling survey ng Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Sa resulta ng Fourth Quarter SWS survey, lumabas na umabot sa 13.1 milyon o 54 porsyento ang self-rated poor families sa buwan ng Disyembre.

Mas mataas ito nang 19 porsyento kumpara sa naitalang 42 porsyento o 10.3 milyon noong Septembre 2019.

Ito ang pinakamataas na naitalang self-rated poverty rate sa nakalipas na limang taon.

Pitong porsyento naman ang nagsabing sila ay “newly poor,” pitong porsyento ang “usually poor” habang 40 porsyento naman ang “always poor.”

Samantala, lumabas din sa survey na 46 porsyento ang “self-rated non-poor families” at 10 porsyento ang “newly non-poor.”

Nasa 15 porsyento naman ang “usually non-poor” at 21 pprsyento ang “always non-poor.”

Isinagawa ang survey sa 1,200 Filipino adults sa pamamagitan ng face-to-face interviews mula December 13 hanggang 16, 2019.
