Maj. Gen. Hawthorne Binag itinalaga sa ikaapat na pinakamataas na pwesto sa PNP
Itinalaga bilang acting chief ng directorial staff ng Philippine National Police si Police Maj. Gen. Hawthorne Binag.
Dahil dito, si Binag na ang naging ikaapat na may pinakamataas na posisyon sa PNP.
Inanunsyo ni PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa ang appointment ni Binag sa press conference sa Camp Crame.
Si Binag ay nagtapos sa Philippine Military Academy Class of 1987 at dating nakatalaga sa Directorate for Information, Communication and Technology Management ng PNP.
Sa ngayon si PNP deputy chief for administration Lt. Gen. Camilo Cascolan ang second in command sa PNP habang si Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar and third in command bilang deputy chief for operations.
