PAGCOR naglaan ng P2B para sa pagpapatayo ng permanent evacuation centers sa buong bansa

Maglalaan ang Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) ng P2 billion para sa pagpapatayo ng permanent evacuation centers na magagamit sa oras ng kalamidad.

Ayon sa PAGCOR, ang Multipurpose Evacuation Center (MPEC) project ay itatayo sa iba’t ibang parte ng bansa para magamit ng mga biktima ng mga kalamidad tulad ng super typhoons, mga pagbaba, maging ng mga aktibidad sa mga komunidad.

Ayon sa gaming regulator, may natukoy na silang 11 lugar sa buong bansa kung saan itatayo ang permanent evacuation centers.

Matapos ang ocular inspections at evaluation ng mga tinukoy na lokasyon nilang calamity-prone, ay isinumite ng PAGCOR ang listahan sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) para matiyak ang implementasyon ng proyekto.

“This is the latest development in one of the agency’s major plans in fulfillment of its mandate to help uplift the lives of the Filipinos,” Sabi ng PAGCOR.
