Total deployment ban sa Kuwait aprubado ni Pangulong Duterte
Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagpapatupad na ng total deployment ban sa mga Filipino sa Kuwait.
Sa pahayag sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na sakop ng ban ang mga skilled workers.
Sinabi ni Panelo na base sa ginawang re-autopsy ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) lumitaw na biktima ng sexually abuse si Jeanelyn Villavende.
Ibig sabihin ayon kay Panelo, tinangka ng Kuwaiti government na itago ang totoong nangyari sa OFW.
Sa ibinigay kasing autopsy report ng gobyerno ng Kuwait ay trauma at mga pasa sa katawan ang dahilan ng pagkamatay ni Villavende.
Sinabi ni Panelo na pabor si Pangulong Duterte sa total ban hangga’t hindi tumutugon ang Kuwait sa memorandum of agreement hinggil sa kontrata ng mga OFW sa nasabing bansa.
