Total deployment ban, ipinatupad na sa Kuwait

Ipinatupad na ang total deployment ban ng mga Filipinong manggagawa sa Kuwait.

Ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), ito ay matapos aprubahan ng Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Governing Board ang resolusyon ukol sa total deployment ban sa Kuwait.

Inirekomenda ito ni DOLE Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello III matapos lumabas sa autopsy report ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na maliban sa pang-aabuso, sexually abused din ang nasawing OFW na si Jeanelyn Villavende.

Sa hiwalay pang autopsy report ng NBI, napag-alamang nawawala ang ilang internal organs ni Villavende.

Matatandaang naunang ipinatupad ang partial deployment ban sa Kuwait noong January 2.
