6.1 tonelada ng kontrabandong karne nasabat sa Binondo, Maynila

Nasamsam ng mga otoridad ang nasa 6.1 na tonelada ng kontrabandong karne at wildlife parts sa Binondo, Maynila Lunes ng gabi.

Sa Facebook video ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, makikita ang mga nakumpiskang baboy, beef, manok at isda ng Manila Veterinary Inspection Board (VIB).

Maliban dito, nakuha rin ang mga exotic meat tulad ng turtles, sea lions, lizards at iba pa.

Tinatayang nagkakahalaga ang mga karne ng humigit-kumulang P15 milyon.

Nakumpisma ng Manila VIB ang mga karne sa suspek na si Cai Chang Fen.

Ani Moreno sa suspek, “Sabi ko sa inyo huhulihin ko kayong lahat. Ayaw niyong makinig.”

Kinilala pa ang iba pang suspek na sina Rogelio Endrinal at Joshua Almario.

Haharap ang mga suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 10536 o Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines, Republic Act 10611 o Food Safety Act at Republic Act 9147 o Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act.
