Police code nilabag ni General Bathan ayon sa PNP Press Corps

Binatikos ng Philippine National Police (PNP) Press Corps ang ginawa ni Southern Metro Manila na pagkuha sa cellphone ng reporter ng GMA 7 na si Jun Veneracion sa coverage ng Traslacion.

Sa pahayag ng PNP Press Corps sinabi nitong nilabag ni Bathan ang police code sa kaniyang ipinakita.

Bagaman nauunawaan umano ng mga mamamahayag ang pressure at stress na hatid ng sitwasyon, ang “thug-like attitude” na ipinakita ni Bathan sa harap ng kaniyang mga tauhan ay conduct unbecoming para sa isang police general.

Ang PNP Press Corps ay organisasyon na binubuo ng 30 journalists na nagco-cover sa headquarters ng PNP sa Camp Crame.

Ayon pa sa PNP Press Corps maituturing na pag-atake sa press freedom ang ginawa ni Bathan kay Veneracion.
