Baguio City hindi isasara sa mga turista

Hindi isasara sa mga turista ang Baguio City sa kabila ng gagawing rehabilitasyon.

Ayon sa City Government ng Baguio, tiniyak ng mga opisyal ng Department of Tourism (DOT) at Deparment of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) na hindi isasara sa mga turista ang lungsod gaya ng ginawa. sa Boracay.

Magiging impractical ayon sa DENR kung isasara ang Baguio dahil itinuturing itong gateway ng Cordillera.

Noong nakarang taon ay ipinag-utos ng DENR ang pagsasagawa ng inventory sa pine trees sa lungsod.

Ito ay matapos mapansin na tila kumakaunti na ito.

Sa isinagawang census, mayroon na lang 418,000 fully grown pine trees sa Baguio City.

Kinumpirma din ni Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat na hindi naging bahagi ng plano ang pagpapasara sa Baguio City.

Pero kailangan aniyang i-develop ang 34-hectare na Burnham Park complex bilang Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
