Pagputol ng DPWH sa daan-daang puno sa main road sa Angeles City ipinahihinto ng LGU
Iniutos ni Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr. ang agarang pagpapahinto sa pagputol sa daan-daang mga puno sa kahabaan ng Friendship Circumferential Road sa Barangay Anunas.
Sa liham ni Lazatin sa kay Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office Engr. Tito Jesus Salvador hiniling nitong agad ihinto ang pagputok sa 259 na mga puno.
Ayon sa alkalde, nais niyang mai-preserve ang nasabing mga puno na maaapektuhan ng road widening project ng DPWH.
Hiling muna ni Lazatin kay Salvador na pag-usapan at pag-aralan ang mga alternatibo sa halip na agad putulin ang mga puno.
Umani ng batikos mula sa mga residente ang planning putulin ang nasabing mga puno at mayroon nang online petition tungkol dito ang Save The Trees Coalition.
“And in light of this vehement opposition from our constituents, I would like to respectfully request your good office to immediately suspend the ongoing cutting of trees along the Circumferential Road,” ayon sa liham ni Lazatin.
