NUJP nanawagan sa PNP na parusahan si SPD Dir. Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan
Hiniling ng National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) sa Philippine National Police (PNP) na magsagawa ng mabilis at impartial na imbestigasyon sa pagkuha ni Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan sa cellphone ng GMA 7 reporter na si Jun Veneracion.
Sa statement ng NUJP, sinabi nitong malinaw na maituturing na “assault” sa press freedom ang ginawa ni Bathan.
Nilabag umano ni Bathan ang karapatan bilang mamamayan ni Veneracion.
Ayon sa NUJP ang inasal ni Bathan ay taliwas sa sinumpaang tungkulin ng mga pulis na “Serve and Protect”.
Hiling ng NUJP sa PNP, patawan ng karampatang parusa si Bathan.
