Turnover of command sa BFP isasagawa ngayong araw

Pangungunahan ngayon umaga ni Secretary Eduardo Año ng Department of the Interior and Local Government ang turnover of command ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Si Outgoing fire chief Fire Director Leonard Bañago, ay magreretiro na matapos na umabot na na siya sa mandatory retirement age na 56.

Habang si C/Supt. Jose Embang, Deputy Chief for Administration ang ma-take over sa pamumuno sa may 28,000 BFP personnel.

Ang turnover ceremony ay gagawin sa Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village, QC.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Director Bañago, nagawa nitong maingat ang kakayanan ng BFP sa pamamagitan ng mga pag upgrade ng mga kagamitan ng ahensya.

Kagaya na lamang ng pagbili ng mga aerial ladder trucks, chemical trucks, at rescue trucks mula sa Japan at South Korea.

Samantala si General Embang ay mula sa Philippine National Police Academy Class 1987 “Tagapaglingkod” at sumali sa Philippine Constabulary – Integrated National Police bago pumasok sa Bureau of Fire Protection nung 1990.
