Apela ni Mayor Sanchez laban sa revised IRR ng expanded GCTA law, pinawalang bisa ng Korte Suprema

Ibinasura ng Korte Suprema ang petisyon ni dating Mayor Antonio Sanchez at iba pang heinous crimes convicts laban sa nirebisang implementing rules and regulations ng RA 10592 o expanded good conduct time allowance law.

Sa resolusyon ng Supreme Court En Banc, sinabi na bigo ang mga petitioners na makatugon sa ilang mga requirement na hinihingi para sa paghahain ng petition for mandamus.

Ayon sa SC, nabigo ang mga convicts na magbayad ng docket at iba pang court fees.

Wala ring proof of service at depektibo ang petisyon dahil sa hindi naka-notaryo.

Maliban sa mga ito wala ring certification against forum shopping ang petisyon at bigo na maghain ng required na bilang ng plain copies ng petisyon.

Sa 2019 revised IRR, idiniskwalipika ang mga heinous crime convicts, recidivist, habitual delinquents at escapees sa pwedeng makinabang sa time allowance.
