DFA hindi muna pinabibiyahe ang mga Pinoy sa Iraq

Hinihimok ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang mga Filipino na iwasan munang bumiyahe patungong Iraq dahil sa tumitinding tensyon sa naturang bansa.

Sa statement ng kagawaran Biyernes ng gabi, pinayuhan din ang mga Pinoy sa Iraq na makipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Embassy at sa kanilang employers sakaling ipatupad ang mandatory evacuation

Matatandaang nasawi sa US strike sa Baghdad airport ang top Iranian commander na si Qasem Suleimani at ang deputy head ng military force ng Iraq na si Hashed al-Shaabi.

Nagpahayag ang Iran na gaganti sa US dahil sa pagkamatay ni Suleimani.

ADVISORY: On the Situation in Iraq

03 January 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) calls on all Filipinos to cancel, until further notice, any travel to Iraq in view of the current situation in the country.

Filipinos in Iraq are strongly advised to coordinate closely with the Philippine Embassy and their employers in the event mandatory evacuation will be necessary.
