PNP kukuha ng 17,000 bagong pulis ngayong taon
Mangangailangan ng 17,000 bagong pulis ang Philippine National Police (PNP) ngayong taon.
Ayon sa PNP, babae man o lalaki na edad 21 hanggang 30 at nasa maayos na pangangatawan ay maaring maging pulis.
Ito ay makaraang aprubahan ng National Police Commission at ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pag-hira ng dagdag na 17,000 pulis para maounan ang kakulangan sa ilalim ng Recruitment Program ng PNP.
Sa nasabing bilang, 10,000 ay bahagi ng annual regular recruitment quota ng PNP at ang 7,000 ay dagdag para pumalit sa mga nagretiro, nasawi, nasibak o AWOL na mga pulis.
Ayon kay PNP Officer-in-Charge, Police Lieutenant General Archie Francisco Gamboa, ang makapapasa sa aplikasyon ay maitatalaga at magkakaroon ng initial rank na Police Patrolman na may buwanang sweldo na P29,668 bukod pa ang allowances at benepisyo.
Narito ang requirements:
1. citizen of the Philippines;
2. A person of good moral character;
3. Must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP;
4. Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution;
5. Must have any of the following basic eligibility requirements:
– PNP Entrance (NAPOLCOM)
– RA No. 1080 (Bar and Board Examinations)
– PD No. 907 (CS eligibility to College Honor Graduates)
6. Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;
7. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
8. Must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m);
9. Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5kg) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her weight, age, and sex; and
10. Must not be less than twenty-one (21) or more than thirty (30) years of age.
