Maraming pasahero pa rin ang naitatalang bumibiyahe sa mga pantalan sa bansa.
Sa monitoring ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) mula alas 6:00 ng gabi ng Miyerkules (Jan. 1) hanggang alas 12:00 ng madaling araw kanina (Jan. 2) ay umabot sa 39,876 ang bilang ng mga pasaherong bumiyahe sa mga pantalan.
Pinakamaraming naitalang pasahero sa Central Visayas na umabot sa 14,021; sinundan ng Northern Mindanao – 6,943; at Southern Tagalog – 6,187.
Magpapatuloy ang pagpapatupad ng mahigpit na seguridad sa mga pantalan sa ilalim ng Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Pasko ng Coast Guard.
Umaasa rin ang Coast Guard na mapapanatili ang zero maritime incident o casualty hanggang matapos ang holiday season.
