MRT-4 project mauumpisahan na – DOTr

Nakatakda nang umpisahan ang MRT-4 project na inaasahang makapagse-serbisyo sa mga residente sa eastern part ng Metro Manila at ilang bahagi ng Rizal.

Ito ay matapos aprubahan na ng Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CabCom) ang 15.56-kilometer rail-based transit system.

Ang Metro Rail Transit Line 4 (MRT-4), ay inaasahang mag-ooperate na sa 2025 na layong matugunan ang lumalalang kondisyon ng traffic sa eastern Metro Manila.

Maseserbisyuhan ng MRT-4 ang mga commuter mula sa ilang bahagi ng Quezon City, San Juan City, Mandaluyong City, Pasig City at Ortigas Center.

Gayundin ang mga pasahero mula sa Cainta at Taytay, Rizal.

Inaasahang aabot sa 234,433 na pasahero ang maisasakay ito kada araw at magkakaroon ito ng 11 istayon.

Aabot sa P59.3-billion ang halaga ng MRT-4 project at popondohan sa ilalim ng official development assistance (ODA) mula sa Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Ayon kay DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade, ang MRT-4 project ay malaking tulong sa mga residente ng eastern Metro Manila at Rizal.

“Considering how densely-populated these areas are, which is made more difficult with the lack of road capacities and ever worsening traffic conditions, MRT-4 will be of great help in moving commuters between eastern Metro Manila and Rizal,” ayon kay Tugade.
