Mahigit 300 Chinese na empleyado ng POGO inaresto sa QC

Inaresto sa Quezon City ang 335 na mga empleyadong Chinese sa isang Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) sa Quezon City.

Ang mga naarestong Chinese ay pawang may kanseladong pasaporte dahil sa pagkakasangkot nila sa investment scams at iba pang financial crimes online.

Sa inisyal na ulat ng National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Quezon City Police District (QCPD) at Bureau of Immigration (BI) ginawa ang pagsalakay sa isang POGO firm Huwebes, Dec. 19 ng gabi.

Ayon sa mga otoridad, lisensyado naman ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) ang POGO na pinagtatrabahuhan ng mga dayuhan.

Nakipag-ugnayan na ang BI sa Chinese embassy hinggil sa status ng mga naaresto.
