Malacañang: Duterte laging bukas sa peace talks sa mga rebelde
Iginiit ng Palasyo ng Malacañang na laging bukas na makipag-usap sa mga rebelde si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Ito ay sa kabila ng kanyang utos sa militar noong Martes na durugin ang mga kaaway ng estado kabilang ang New People’s Army para matapos na ang problema ng mga Filipino.
Sa press briefing araw ng Huwebes, sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo na laging seryoso si Duterte at lagi itong bukas na makipag-usap.
Gayunman, ang problema anya sa kabilang grupo ay lagi nitong inaatake ang pwersa ng gobyerno.
Hindi naman anyang walang pwedeng gawin sa gitna ng pagpatay at pag-atake ng mga rebelde.
Pero giit ni Panelo, bukas ang pangulo kung gustong makipag-usap ng mga ito.
“The President has always been sincere. He always opens talks. But the problem with the other side is they keep on attacking our forces… You cannot be standing, sitting idly and watch them terrorize or kill our own people, kaya ayaw niya iyon. Pero despite that, ‘Ako ay open pa rin kung gusto ninyong makipag-usap, usap tayo,” ani Panelo.
Una nang sinabi ni Duterte na ipadadala niya si Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III sa The Netherlands para makipag-usap kay Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) leader Jose Maria Sison.
