Pangulong Duterte, ligtas kahit kasama sa hitlist ng NPA
Seryosong ikinokonsidera ng Presidential Security Group (PSG) ang pahayag ni National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon na kasama sa hitlist ng New People’s Army (NPA) si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Sa pulong balitaan sa Malakanyang, tiniyak ni PSG commander Brig. General Jose Niembra na ligtas ang pangulo dahil hindi ito biro at buhay nito ang nakasalalay at ang survival ng bansa.
Mahigpit na seguridad aniya ang ipinatutupad ng PSG sa pangulo.
Ayon kay Niembra, hindi na bago para sa kanilang hanay na makasama sa hitlist ang pangulo lalo’t nalalapit na ang anibersaryo ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) sa December 26.
Araw-araw aniya kada taon, nakatatanggap sila ng impormasyon na may banta sa seguridad ng pangulo.
“We expect that the President is number one in their list. So as to the preparations and heightening of our security procedures, amin na lang yun. But rest assured, we’re doing something to protect the President,” ani Niembra.
Ayon kay Niembra, pinapayuhan nila ang pangulo na mag-ingat pero hindi aniya sumusunod ang pangulo dahil batid naman niya ang kanyang mga limitasyon.
“Definitely kasi ito naman talaga ang trabaho ng PSG. So we’ll do everything we can to secure the President. And in fact, ang sabi nga natin, ang mission ng PSG is to see to it that we have a living president day by day,”
Katunayan, sinabi ni Niembra na balak na naman ni Pangulong Duterte na mag-motor sa Metro Manila sa mga susunod na araw.
