Eastern Visayas sakop na ng total pork ban ng Cebu

Pinalawig ng Cebu ang total ban nito sa pagpasok ng pork products mula Luzon hanggang sa Eastern Visayas.

Inilabas ni Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia Martes ng hapon ang Executive Order No. 27 na nagsasali sa Eastern Visayas sa pork ban ng probinsya.

Ayon sa EO, posibleng magdulot ng panganib sa P11 bilyong hog industry ng Cebu ang pork products mula sa Eastern Visayas dahil ang rehiyon ay magsisilbing transshipment point ng mga produkto mula Luzon na ibinabalak ipasok sa probinsya.

Tinanggal na kasi ng Eastern Visayas ang ban nito sa pagpasok ng pork products mula Luzon.

Magugunitang ipinatupad ng Cebu ang ban sa mga pork products mula Luzon bunsod ng banta ng frican Swine Fever (ASF).

Epektibo ang total ban ng lalawigan hanggang June 2020.
