13 babae na hinihinalang biktima ng human trafficking nailigtas sa Zamboanga City

Nailigtas ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station sa Zamboanga ang labingtatlong hinihinalang biktima ng human trafficking.

Ang labingtatlong babae ay naharang sa Port of Zamboanga sa Zamboanga City.

Sakay na ng MV Antonia-1 ang mga babae at nakatakda sana silang dalhin sa to Sandakan, Sabah.

Sa inisyal na imbestigasyon, pawang mula sa Luzon ang karamihan sa mga biktima.

Isinailalim sila sa profiling at agad dinala sa DSWD sa Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City.

Katuwang ng Coast Guart sa operasyon ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at Department of Justice (DOJ) sa Region IX, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), at ang Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC) sa Western Mindanao.
