Matarinao Bay sa Eastern Samar muling nagpositibo sa red tide toxin

Pinag-iingat ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) ang publiko sa pagkain ng lahat ng uri ng shellfish lalo na kung manggagaling ito sa mga lugar na apektado ng red tide toxin.

Kabilang na ang coastal waters ng Bataan (Mariveles, Limay, Orion, Pilar, Balanga, Hermosa, Orani, Abucay at Samal); Puerto Princesa Bay, Puerto Princesa City sa Palawan; coastal waters ng Dauis at Tagbilaran City sa Bohol; Irong-Irong, San Pedro at Silanga Bays sa Western Samar; Cancabato Bay, Tacloban City sa Leyte; at Lianga Bay sa Surigao del Sur na nanatiling positibo sa paralytic shellfish poison.

Habang ang Matarinao Bay sa Eastern Samar ay muling nabalik sa listahan na positibo sa red tide.

Maliban sa shellfish at alamang pwede naman kainin ang mahuhuling isda basta ito ay linisin ng mabuti saka lutuin ng husto bago kainin.

Nilinaw naman ng BFAR na ligtas naman magswimming sa dagat na may red tide toxin.
