Gamot sa diabetes sa Pilipinas, ligtas ayon sa DOH
Tiniyak ng Department of Health (DOH) na ligtas ang gamot mga gamot sa sa sakit na diabetes sa Pilipinas.
Pahayag ito ni Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo kasunod ng pag-recall sa ilang partikular na brand ng gamot ng metformin sa Singapore at sa Amerika.
Sinabi ng US Food and Drug Administration na ilang brands ng mga gamot sa diabetes na “metformin” ang kanilang iniimbestigahan.
Ito ay dahil sa posibilidad umano na pagtataglay nito ng “carcinogen n-nitrisodimethylamine” o NDMA.
Ayon kay Domingo, tiniyak ng food and drug administration na wala sa Pilipinas ang mga brand ng metformin na ni-recall sa Singapore at US.
Sinabi ng DOH na ligtas ang lahat ng metformin brands na ibinebenta sa Pilipinas.
Tiniyak din ni Domingo na nakikipag-ugnayan ang FDA sa mga counterpart nito sa iba pang bahagi ng mundo.
