Bagong National Stadium sa Tokyo, Japan binuksan na para sa 2020 Olympics

Pormal nang binuksan ang bagong National Stadium sa Tokyo, Japan para sa idaraos na 2020 Olympics, araw ng Linggo.

Pinangunahan ni Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ang pagbubukas ng stadium mahigit-kumulang pitong buwan bago ang opening ceremony ng 2020 Olympics sa July 24.

Binati naman ni Abe ang mga nasa likod ng pagsasagawa ng stadium makaraang matapos ito sa itinakdang iskedyul.

Dinisenyo ang stadium ng architect na si Kengo Kuma.

Nagkakahalaga ang 68,000-seater stadium ng 156.9 billion yen o $1.44 billion.

Maliban sa opening ceremony, gagamitin din ang stadium sa ilang athletic event at closing ceremony ng Olympics.

Samantala, isasagawa ang Emperor’s Cup soccer final bilang kauna-unahang sporting event sa nasabing stadium.
