Duterte, Misuari muling nagpulong sa Davao para itulak ang kapayapaan sa Mindanao
Muling nagpulong sina Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari sa Davao City, araw ng Biyernes.
Ayon sa pahayag ni Sen. Bong Go, nagkaroon ng mabungang diskusyon sina Duterte at Misuari kasama ang mga miyembro ng government peace panel at Peace Coordinating Committee.
Nais ng presidente na matamo ang kapayapaan sa Mindanao bago pa matapos ang kanyang termino sa 2022.
“President Duterte reiterated that he wants to make some headway towards peace at least before his term ends, adding that concerned government agencies are working hand in hand to achieve the desired results,” ayon kay Go.
Nagpasalamat ang presidente kay Misuari para sa suporta nito sa gobyerno.
Tiniyak ni Duterte sa MNLF official na seryoso ang pamahalaan sa layuning matamo ang kapayapaan at pag-unlad ng Mindanao.
“The President expressed gratitude to MNLF Chair Nur Misuari for his unwavering support for the government, and assured him of the government’s commitment to achieve peace and development in Mindanao,” dagdag ni Go.
