PNP ibinigay na ang P288M body cam contract sa isang San Juan City-based company

Iginawad na ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang bid para sa P289 milyong pisong body-worn camera system sa isang kumpanya sa San Juan.

Sa isang statement araw ng Huwebes, sinabi ni PNP officer-in-charge, Lt. Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa na naibigay ang proyekto sa EVI Distribution.

Layon anya ng body cam system na mapalakas ang kanilang mga operasyon.

“This system is expected to equip our police units in support to our anti-criminality and anti-terrorism operations including mission-essential equipment for mobility and investigation,” ani Gamboa.

Kabilang na sa P289 milyong kontrata ang suplay, delivery, maintenance, data system, taxes at dutes.

Ani Gamboa, hindi lamang bibili ang PNP ng body cameras kundi maging ang isang mahusay na ‘system’ na mayroong ‘complete system management’, ‘real-time live streaming’, ‘data storage and backup’, at overall connectivity and monitoring”.

Una nang sinabi ni Gamboa na plano ng PNP na gumamit na ng body cams sa 2020.
