PNP patuloy na magbabantay sa SEA Games delegates at athletes

Kahit pormal nang isinara ang 2019 Southeast Asian Games, patuloy pa ring bibigyan ng seguridad ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang mga delegado at atleta ng regional meet.

Sa pahayag araw ng Miyerkules, sinabi ni PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa na ang misyon ng pulisya ay matatapos lang kapag nakaalis na sa bansa ang kahuli-hulihang delegado ng SEA Games.

“This mission ends only until after the last foreign delegate has left the country,” ani Gamboa.

Mayroon umanong game officials, delegado at mga atleta na mamamasyal muna sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.

Dahil dito, ipinag-utos ng PNP official ang pagpapatuloy ng police visibility at pag-asiste sa SEA Games delegates.

Ayon kay PNP Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac, nakaalerto ang police units sa mga tourist destinations sa Luzon at Visayas.

“PNP authorities have been duly notified by protocol officers of delegations who have made travel arrangements for some athletes, game officials and guests who signified intention to visit other destinations in the country,” ani Banac.

Nagpaalala pa ang pambansang pulisya sa gun owners na nananatiling epektibo ang ban sa pagdadala ng armas hanggang sa Sabado, December 14 sa Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, at La Union.

Kagabi, pormal nang nagtapos ang 2019 SEA Games kung saan wagi ang Pilipinas na may kabuuang 387 medals.
