MWSS binawi ang extension ng concession agreements sa Maynilad at Manila Water
Binawi na ng Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) extension ng concession agreements ng Manila Water Company, Inc. at Maynilad Water Services Inc..
Sinabi ito ni MWSS Deputy Administrator for Engineering Leonor Cleofas sa joint hearing ng good government at public accountability and public accounts committees sa Kamara.
Ang extension ng concession agreements ng dalawang water concessionaires hanggang 2037 ay inaprubahan ng MWSS sa pamamagitan ng isang board resolution noong 2009.
Dahil sa pagbawi sa extension, mayroon na lang hanggang 2022 na tatagal ang concession agreements.
Sinabi ni Cleofas na ang pagbawi sa kasunduan ay napag-usapan sa MWSS board meeting.
Kinumpirma naman ng Manila Water at Maynilad na natanggap na nila ang notice of revocation ngayong araw ng Miyerkules.
