NTC inatasan ang mga Telco na iprayoridad ang serbisyo sa mga tanggapan ng gobyerno at ospital na tinamaan ng bagyong Tisoy
Muling nagpalabas ng direktiba ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) sa lahat ng telecommunications entities sa bansa na siguruhin at iprayoridad ang pagbibigay serbisyo sa mga Provincial Capitols, City Halls, Municipal Halls, at Government Hospitals sa mga lugar na lubhang napinsala nang nagdaang bagyong Tisoy.
“Pending restoration Of Electric power and telecommunications services, you are hereby directed to prioritized and ensure the restoration of Communication services in the provincial capitols, City Halls, Municipal Halls, and Government Hospitals in the areas severely affected by typhoon Tisoy” ayon sa memorandum ng NTC.
Muling iginiit ni NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba sa mga telcos ang nauna niyang memorandum order no. 05-04-2011 na nag-aatas sa mga ito na siguruhin na may sapat na technical at support personnel silang naka-deploy para sa provisioning o paglalagay ng fuel sa standby generators sa kani-kanilang cellsites.
Kamakailan ay ipinag-utos ni Cordoba sa mga Telcos ang pagkakaloob ng
libreng tawag at libreng Charging ng mobile phones sa Publiko.
“Pending restoration of power and telecommunications services in areas severely affected by Typhoon Tisoy, You are hereby directed to offer “ libreng tawag and libreng charging” services in strategic areas in Cities and municipalities severely affected by the Typhoon.” Ayon sa Memorandum ni NTC Commissioner Gamaliel A. Cordoba.
Kanya ring inatasan ang mga telcos na magsumite ng report sa kanyang tanggapan hinggil sa kanilang pagtalima sa naturang kautusan.
Nabatid na napinsala ng husto ang mga linya ng kuryente at komunikasyon sa Guinobatan sa lalawigan ng Albay, ilang bayan sa Sorsogon, lalawigan ng Catanduanes at Mindoro dahil sa hagupit ng bagyong Tisoy.
