Rehabilitasyon sa Pasig River pinagpupulungan na ng Manila City Govt., at mga ahensya ng pamahalaan

Nagsagawa ng pagpupulong ngayong Martes (Dec. 10) ng umaga ang mga ahensya ng pamahalaan at city local government ng Maynila kaugnay sa planong rehabilitasyon sa Pasig River.

Ang pulong ay dinaluhan nina Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Joel Garcia, Environment and Natural Resources Sec. Roy Cimatu, Interior and Local Govt. Usec. Epimaco Densing III, at Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) OIC Administrator Vice Admiral Narciso Vingson Jr.

Kasama din sa pulong sina Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danilo Lim, MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia, at Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

Ang pulong ay ginawa sa Manila City Hall.

Ayon kay Tugade, kailangang matanggal ang mga barge na matagal nang nakatengga sa Ilog Pasig.

Kailangan ayon kay Tugade na mali is ang Pasig River para sa maginhawang paglalayag ng Pasig River Ferry upang mas tangkilikin ito ng publiko.

Sa panig ng Manila City Government, sinabi ni Mayor Isko Moreno na magsasagawa ng clearing operations ang lokal na pamahalaan sa bahagi ng Pasig River na nasasakupan ng Maynila.
