LOOK: National costume ni Michelle Dee sa Miss World

Ipinakita na ang national costume ni Michelle Dee para sa Miss World 2019.

Sa isang Instagram post ng Aces and Queens Lunes ng gabi, ‘stunning’ si Dee sa national costume na nilikha ng sikat na Filipino designer na si Francis Libiran.

Ayon sa Aces and Queens, ang national costume ng beauty queen ay selebrasyon at pagtaguyod sa mayamang kulturang Filipino.

Ang inspirasyon umano costume ay mula sa araw at Philippine national flag.

Sumisimbolo anila ito sa ‘optimism’, ‘positivity’ at ‘courage’.

Susubukan ni Dee na masungkit ang ikalawang Miss World crown ng Pilipinas.

Matatandaang ang aktres na si Megan Young ang unang Pinay na nakoronahang Miss World taong 2013.

Si Dee ay anak ni Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.

Magaganap ang coronation night ng Miss World 2019 sa December 14 sa London.

The Philippine Sun Princess: Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee’s Francis Libiran couture national costume is a symbolic work of art and labor of love. This state-of-the-art version of the Philippine Terno is a celebration and preservation of rich Filipino culture. The design of the Sun on the collar is inspired by the Sun of the Philippine national Flag, customized in Francis Libiran signature intricate Art Deco embroidery. It is a symbol of optimism, positivity and courage. The custom embroidery patterns, is inspired by the historic Visayan tattoo called “Batek”. They were found in the earliest illustrations of our Visayan warriors in the 16th-century Boxer Codex. To our ancestors, Batek symbolized bravery and triumph. This well-crafted wearable art piece is made of fine soft tulle, intricately embroidered with custom embroidery and hand-made beadwork.
