1 sundalo patay, 1 sugatan sa engkwentro sa Iligan City

Patay ang isang sundalo habang sugatan ang isa pa sa sumiklab na bakbakan sa Iligan City.
Batay sa ulat, nangyari ang engkwentro sa pagitan ng 49th Infantry Battalion ng Philippine Army at ilang miyembro ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa bahagi ng Barangay Kalilangan noong December 7.
Nasawi sa engkwentro si Pvt. Joel Espreso, 22-anyos, matapos mabaril sa bibig.
Patuloy namang nagpapagaling si Cpl. Crisanto Morales, 33-anyos, makaraang tamaan ng baril sa balikat.
Tumagal ng 15 minuto ang bakbakan sa lugar.
