Voter registration para sa 2022 presidential elections ipagpapatuloy na sa Enero
Ipagpapatuloy na ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang voter registration para sa May 2022 presidential elections.
Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez na sa January 2020 ay ipagpapatuloy na ang voter registration.
Ani Jimenez, wala pang target na bilang para sa mga magrerehistro ngunit umaasa anya ang poll body na mas magiging mataas ito.
Sa huling voter registration period umabot sa higit tatlong milyon ang nagparehistro, mas mataas sa target na dalawang milyon.
Magugunitang hindi na tuloy ang Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan elections sa May 2020.
Ito ay matapos lagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Republic Act No. 11462 na nagspapaliban dito.
Dahil dito, mabibigyan ng mas mahabang panahon ang Comelec para paghandaan ang 2022 presidential elections.
