Pork products ng Mekeni pwede na ulit ibenta sa merkado – FDA

Pinayagan na muli ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) na maibenta sa merkado ang mga pork product ng Mekeni Food Corporation.

Ito ay matapos na magnegatibo na sa African Swine Fever (ASF) virus ang mga produkto nilang isinailalim sa pagsusuri.

Base sa resulta ng pagsusuri ng SGS Philippines, Inc., ang raw meat products at pork-based products ng Mekeni ay ligtas sa ASF virus.

Sa liham na ipinadala ni Usec. Rolando Enrique Domingo sa Mekeni, ipinabatid nitong pinapayagan na muli ang distribution ng mga processed pork meat products ng kumpanya.

“As a food business operator, it is your responsibility to be proactive in monitoring your products’ compliance to existing regulations as well as to ensure that appropriate measures and controls are in place to prevent the possible use of contaminated raw materials,” ayon kay Domingo.

Magugunitang boluntaryong binawi ng Mekeni sa merkado ang kanilang mga produkto habang hinihintay pa ang resulta ng pagsusuri.
