Unang pagkakataon na matutunghayan sa 30th SEA Games ang kickboxing ngayong taon.
Ayon kay Sen. Francis Tolentino, maganda ang future ng kickboxing sa Pilipinas.
Ang Philippine Boxing Team ay nagsanay sa ibang bansa at sumabak na sa iba’t ibang torneo.
