Duterte inutusan si Bello na makipag-usap kay Sison
Muling bibigyan ng pagkakataon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang usapang pangkapayapaan ng gobyerno at Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).
Sa situation briefing sa Legazpi City, Albay, sinabi ng pangulo na ipadadala niya sa The Netherlands si Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello III para makipag-usap kay CPP leader Jose Maria Sison.
“I’m sending (Labor) Sec. (Silvestre) Bello…he will go there (and) talk to them,” ani Duterte.
Ayon sa pangulo, lagi dapat bukas ang pintuan para sa pagtamo ng kapayapaan.
“The longing for peace is always there. The doors must be open always or there must be at least one channel if everything closes na puwede mong pakiusapan,” giit ng presidente.
Hindi naman nagbigay ng iba pang detalye ang presidente ukol sa kanyang utos.
Malalaman na lamang anya ng publiko kung magbubunga ito o hindi.
“Basta I’m sending him [Bello] back to (Joma) Sison and talk to him. Malaman lang ninyo ‘yan pagdating ng panahon. If he agrees, ito ang sabi ko last card. When I say my last card is my time is running out,” dagdag ng presidente.
Una nang isinantabi ni Duterte ang pagpapatuloy ng peace talks sa komunistrang grupo noong Marso at pinayuhan itong makipag-usap na lang sa susunod na presidente.
