Annular solar eclipse matutunghayan sa bansa sa December 26

Isang astronomical event ang masasaksihan ng mga Pinoy isang araw matapos ang Pasko o sa December 26.

Ayon sa PAGASA, magaganap sa naturang araw ang ‘Ring of Fire’ eclipse o ‘annular solar eclipse’.

Nangyayari ang annular solar eclipse kapag ang buwan ay nasa pinakamalayong distansya nito sa mundo.

Natatakpan ng buong buwan ang sentro ng araw dahilan para maiwan ang outer edges kaya’t nabubuo ang ‘ring of fire’ o annulus.

Sinabi ng PAGASA na pinakamakikita ang eclipse sa Balut at Batulaki sa Sarangani sa Davao Occidental.

Sa ibang bahagi naman ng bansa tulad ng Maynila; Quezon City; Aparri, Cagayan; Laoag, Ilocos Norte; Legazpi City, Albay; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Mactan, Cebu; at General Santos City, partial eclipse lamang ang masasaksihan.
