NGCP sisikaping maibalik sa normal ang nasirang 19 transmission lines bago ang Pasko

Aminado ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) na mahihirapan silang maayos bago mag-Pasko ang sinirang power transmission lines ng Bagyong Tisoy.

Sa press briefing araw ng Miyerkules, sinabi ni NGCP spokesperson Cynthia Alabanza na sinimulan naman nang isaayos ang mga nasira pero napakahirap na tapusin ito agad.

Umabot sa 208 ang transmission line towers na naapektuhan ng bagyo.

Labing-siyam ang talagang bumagsak at karamihan pa sa mga ito ay nananatiling lubog sa baha.

“We’re all hoping na by Christmas no we can do it. But it is really very difficult. Can you imagine, 208 structures, 19 towers that are at least 20 meters tall. It’s a tall order… talagang pino-focus namin ang resources namin dito kasi malaking gawain talaga ‘to,” ani Alabanza.

Kabilang sa transmission lines na napinsala ng bagyo ay 20 69-kilovolt lines na nagsusuplay ng kuryente sa mga consumer sa South Luzon at ilang bahagi ng Visayas-Samar area.

Dahil sa mga balakid, wala pang timetable ang NGCP sa pagsasaayos ng mga nasirang towers.

Patuloy ang isinasagawang assessment sa mga lugar na may napinsalang transmission lines at ang restoration sa ilang circuit.

Nasaayos naman na ang ilang transmission lines kaya’t naibalik na ang kuryente sa ilang lugar sa Naga City, Camarines Sut at Gumaca, Quezon.
