Malasakit Center Act, nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Duterte
Pirmado na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pet bill ni Senador Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go na Malasakit Center Act.
Sa ilalim ng bagong batas, obligado na ang lahat ng mga ospital ng gobyerno na minimentina ng Department of Health (DOH) na maglagay ng Malasakit Center.
Ang Malasakit center ay one-stop shop na magbibigay ng medical assistance para sa mga Filiipno na maco-confine sa mga pampublikong ospital.
Kasama sa Malasakit center ang PCSO, Philhealth, DSWD at iba pa.
Pinapayagan din ang pagkakaroon ng mga Malasakit center sa mga ospital na pinamamahalaan ng local government units, state universities at iba pa kung matitiyak na mayroong sapat na pondo.
Sa ngayon, 52 Malasakit centers na ang naitayo sa iba’t ibang ospital.
Kabilang na ang Philippine General Hospital (PGH), Lung Center of the Philippines, Philippine Heart Cener, National Kidney at Philippine Children’s Medical Center.
